This page lists most common web browsers that you can find in gNewSense.
Here is a list of most common used web browsers, divided into two categories:
graphical web browsers: the most widespread type of web browser, you need a graphical interface to use them,
text-based web browsers: faster than graphical ones, you may want to give them a try if you like command-line or use an old computer. Some of them may render pictures.
Graphical web browsers
Note for browsers using Gecko (Epiphany, Galeon and GNU IceCat): to get rid of the popup asking you to download the plugin, you can do:
cd /usr/lib/xulrunner-$VERSION/plugins/ sudo mv libnullplugin.so libnullplugin.so.orig

Midori is a lightweight web browser based on GTK, which uses the WebKit layout engine. gNewSense deltah's version of Midori is very much beta software, which means we recommend you not to use it until gNewSense Parkes becomes available.

Text-based web browsers
If you are looking for performance more than aestethics, pictures and web media, you should try a text-based web browser.
